Wright grows up on Game of Thrones set
ARE you ever really ready to have the big "talk" with your parents? Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark on the hugely popular TV show Game of Thrones, certainly wasn't.
"I was 10 years old when I first joined the (R-rated) show, so I didn't watch it at the time," the now 17-year-old said, in an interview at the Grand Hyatt when he was in town to promote the latest season of the multiple Emmy award-winning show. "But getting the part did lead to a horribly embarrassing lecture about sex from my mum."
Hempstead Wright never set out thinking he would get the role when he auditioned along with some friends from a local drama group in Kent. He said: "It was more about experiencing the acting industry. But when I got called back for three separate auditions, I realised they might actually cast me. It was really a 99 per cent chance that this happened at all."
