SINGAPORE Biennale 2013 Closing Party - If you have been meaning to check out the Singapore Biennale 2013 but haven't gotten around to it yet, then here's your last chance to view some edgy works at this international contemporary art exhibition. The closing party marking the end of the fourth edition of the Singapore Biennale, will take place at the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) this weekend, with a range of activities open to the public.
Expect lectures from the likes of curator Michelle Ho, who will talk about the development of Thai contemporary art from the 1990s to present; and artist Lee Wen, who will discuss her work COSMOS. If you want to get your hands dirty, you could sign up for workshops such as a tote-bag screening workshop by artist Marisa Darasavath, or harp-making with local artist Mohamed Riduan.
The Singapore Biennale 2013 features works by 82 artists and artist collectives from 13 countries, in line with the theme If The World Changed.As part of this closing weekend, there will be extended museum hours and free admission to the exhibits at the SAM, SAM@8Q, the National Museum of Singapore, and The Peranakan Museum.
