FANS who have caught shows at Esplanade's Mosaic Music Festival over the years will have special memories of their favourite acts but for the first time ever, the backroom staff and backstage crew will be sharing their memories in a special behind-the-scenes exhibition.

10 Years of Mosaic Moments is "a labour of love" by those who have toiled tirelessly over the last decade to make the festival happen, according to Clarence Yap, assistant director of programming at The Esplanade. It opens next Friday, a week before this year's edition - which will also be the final one in its current 10-day format - kicks off. The unseen story of the annual festival, which has been running since 2005, will be told through never-before-seen photographs, posters and artist messages that have been kept in the Esplanade's archives. "We hope to celebrate the musical moments created at Mosaic, and we invite the public - especially music fans - to reconnect with some of these experiences that they may have had at Mosaic," says Mr Yap.

He says that the team started by laying out photos and materials in chronological order and talking about significant memories - from special concert moments to interesting stories, artists' parties, meal gatherings, and memorable comments by the artists - from past editions of the festival.
