Maybank opens first Punggol branch
MAYBANK Singapore on Monday opened its first branch in Punggol, as part of its strategy to attract young families to bank with it. Maybank said it expects its customer base in the Punggol and Sengkang area to double in four years' time.
Citing data from the Singapore Department of Statistics, Maybank noted Punggol had the highest proportions of children at 11 per cent and 10.9 per cent in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
The branch will be the first for Maybank to operate on Sundays. Maybank has 22 branches in Singapore.
