Can Liverpool be toppled from their EPL perch ?
Manchester City, Spurs and Chelsea are the teams that stand between the Reds and a first league title since 1990
WITH 22 games played and 16 to go, it is Liverpool that find themselves perched proudly at the top of the English Premier League (EPL) table. Unsurprisingly, they are currently the bookies' firm favourites to claim a first league title in nearly three decades.
The free-scoring Reds have already racked up 57 points, and it was only a fortnight ago when they suffered their first defeat of the season, a 2-1 reverse to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. But if history is any indication, the championship is never won in January, and second-placed Manchester City and the rest of the chasing pack will look to push the Reds all the way until the finish line on May 12.
Here's a closer look at three of the clubs still in the EPL title hunt and their chances of overhauling Juergen Klopp's team at the summit.
