>Cats of The World: Feline lovers rejoice, Cats of The World is back for its eighth annual exhibition. A community project with the aim of spreading the love of cats, this year's event will not only include its usual photo exhibition, but a feline-themed bazaar as well. It features photos, by aspiring and professional photographers, of several feline friends in their natural element, in unique settings from all over the world, including Japan and Singapore. An art element has also been introduced: Local artists, such as David Chan, Namiko Takahashi and SlothStudio, have been invited to come up with feline inspired artworks, each to be sold for $100, a fundraising effort for the Cat Welfare Society. The feline themed bazaar, Purrzaar Market, offers a range of mostly cat-themed lifestyle merchandise.
Cats of The World Photo Exhibition runs till July 28 at The Arts House, and is open from 10am to 10pm daily. Purrzaar Market runs on July 5, 12 and 19 at The Arts House, from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free. For more information log on to www.theartshouse.com.sg
