HOW did Martin Scorsese miss this one? Black Mass, a biopic about one of America's most feared gangsters has the latter's name stamped all over it except for the fact it's set in Boston instead of his beloved New York.

Still, there's no mistaking director Scott Cooper (2009's Crazy Heart and 2013's Out of the Furnace) is in Mr Scorsese's territory with the film's graphic violence.

Somewhere along the way, you'd almost half-expect a sneering Joe Pesci to pop up to pull the trigger and add to the body count.
