Success of Downton Abbey due to teamwork involving writer, director, producers, cast and marketing efforts.
MEGA popular British TV series Downton Abbey had a limited airing in England at first, but it quickly caught on by the middle of the first season, notes creator and writer Julian Fellowes.
When he saw the series referenced in political news one day, he knew the show was "becoming zeitgeist".
"We were becoming part of the conversation, so to speak," notes the 68-year-old award-winning writer, on the red carpet on Wednesday as he was part of the entourage who came for the world premiere opening of Downton Abbey: The Exhibition.
