Celebrations by the Bay
Mandarin Oriental Singapore offers a curated range of activities for Chinese New Year
CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS DON’T stop at just a sumptuous reunion dinner at Mandarin Oriental Singapore. To welcome the Year of the Rabbit, the hotel has curated a range of activities that include a cycling escapade through Marina Bay, a feast of Cantonese delicacies at Cherry Garden, an abundance of takeaway goodies and a rejuvenating wellness experience at The Spa.
Cycle For MOre
Savour a restful and luxurious stay at an urban oasis amidst the colourful Chinese New Year celebrations with a special Cycle For MOre holiday package. Get a close-up view of the waterfront district as you embark on a two-hour guided cycling tour that takes you past Singapore’s towering skyscrapers and other unique landmarks. Join the festivities as you ride through Gardens by the Bay and visit the River Hongbao festival – one of the highlights of Singapore’s Chinese New Year events.
Auspicious reunion dinners
With five unique renditions of yusheng to choose from at Cherry Garden restaurant, there’s lots of luck to toss for this Chinese New Year. There’s something for all tastes from the classic Prosperity Yusheng with arctic clam, salmon and crispy fish skin, to the opulent Triumph Yusheng which comes topped with luxurious caviar, black truffle, sweet shrimp and salmon. Indulge in other specialties including double-boiled chicken soup packed with American ginseng, fish maw, conpoy, Chinese mushrooms and sliced abalone; and braised 4-head abalone in oyster sauce with premium sea cucumber.
To symbolise longevity and happiness, there’s also sauteed lobster with braised ee-fu noodles and garlic in superior stock. For an even more special celebration, there’s the Hennessy V.S.O.P CNY Edition menu for a minimum of eight guests per table that features Spirited Yusheng with Atlantic salmon, Canadian lobster and Oscietra caviar, along with a whole roasted crispy suckling pig and more.
Takeaway treats
Whether you’re dining at home or sending festive gifts to friends and loved ones, the online shop at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore has everything you need. Pick from decadent pineapple tarts reminiscent of Taiwanese pineapple cakes or traditional nian gao. Or create an abundant feast at home with Cherry Garden Superior Pot – a takeaway version of pencai, yusheng platter and assorted roasts.
Spa retreat
Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with a half day wellness retreat at The Spa. Kick off with a healing 60-minute tai chi session to boost your mental and physical well being, before entering a calm state of mind with a multi-sensory tea ceremony.
