My Weekend
What people do, why and where as told to Rachel Loi
Dawn Lim
Founder of Cafe Karung Guni
"On weekends I usually whip up my own breakfast or lunch at home, then head to my warehouse to check on any equipment that might be arriving. I'll get my guys to service old equipment and run checks on the ones that are going to be delivered the following week. After that, I go to the gym nearby, and then pick a new or interesting restaurant to visit for dinner since part of my work is to stay in touch with what's up-and-coming in the F&B scene. This weekend I'm thinking of checking out Kam's Roast, Thai Me Up at Coronation Plaza, or Mrs Pho's new outlet. Some weekends I end up going to healthy food places like Grain Traders instead, or my favourite eateries like Tian Tian for reliable chicken rice - I'm Hainanese after all.
