Masks hide faces, but plight still grim

KHVAY Samnang is one of Cambodia's most prominent artists who's frequently invited to show his works at international art events including the Singapore Biennale.

But like many Cambodian artists, he is cautious when talking about his art, for fear of government reprisals should his art be deemed anti-government.

His photo exhibition titled Human Nature at Tomio Koyama Gallery embodies that fear.
