Singapore's first South Asian International Film Festival is underway and the line-up includes features, shorts and documentaries that wouldn't otherwise get a general screening at cinemas here.
On top of that, there are panel discussions, master classes and networking events for participants to learn more about the art of filmmaking from South Asian industry experts and personalities.
The curtain comes down on Sept 9 with a gala to be held at The Star Theatre. The evening's programme includes an awards ceremony, concert by Mohit Chauhan, and the chance to spot stars like actor Manoj Bajpayee (pictured) who is also the festival's mentor.
