World Cup Action
Augmented reality isn't just reserved for Pokemon Go - it will be used as well in the upcoming World Cup 'live' show, Match Day, produced by Mediacorp, Singtel and StarHub for the entire duration of the tournament. Using 3D animation, team formations and player profiles will come to life in the studio with presenters Richard Lenton and Steve Lai. The duo will discuss tactics, strategies, line-ups, controversial talking points and more with live feeds from the stadia for all 64 matches. Match Day will be presented in three segments: pre-game, half-time, and post-game. Both Lenton and Lai will be joined in the studio by Liverpool legend Ian Rush and former English national Darren Anderton. Rounding up the panel are three ex-professional-players-turned-pundits who have become regular faces on football shows over the years: R. Saskikumar, Paul Masefield and PJ Roberts.
Match Day is available to watch on Toggle, okto, Singtel and StarHub channels as well as their individual digital platforms from June 14 to July 15.
