Funny Business
Two members of comic royalty are making their way to Singapore in 2020. First up is John Cleese of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers fame. The British comedic legend last performed in Singapore in 2014 and sold out two nights. His new show, In Praise of Silly, is set to feature - if you believe the press release - "a wide variety of silly behaviours, incomprehensible mimes, and Algerian love songs". (You'd never know actually!) Also coming to Singapore is RuPaul's Drag Race season 11 breakout star Brooke Lynn Hytes, who will bring her one "woman" musical comedy dragstravaganza, Queen of the North, here. The Toronto native's show has been described by some as "tutu much" so best leave your inhibitions at the door.
John Cleese plays UCC Hall on March 7, while Brooke Lynn Hytes performs at Shine Auditorium on March 29. Tickets on sale now from SISTIC.
