What do we do about Russia?
1. What do you think was the most remarkable thing that happened this week?
Clearly 2016 wasn't about to go out quietly. Even in the closing days of what's been an eventful, tumultuous year, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reared its head, after the US allowed the UN Security Council to condemn Israel for essentially building on its own land. At the same time, outgoing President Barack Obama finally hit back at Russia for seeking to undermine the US elections, setting up Vladimir Putin for a tit-for-tat with ... wait, isn't Mr Putin chummy with the soon-to-be new US leader?
Personally, the most intriguing, if no less disturbing, "news story" I came across this week is one citing experts (including a professor and director of one Mixed Reality Lab in Singapore) who predict that marriage between humans and robots will be legal by 2050.
