BEING a business with a long history can be a double-edged sword, according to entrepreneurs behind two established Singaporean firms.
"Obviously, if you're an old brand you have certain advantages as an incumbent because people know you," noted Whang Shang Ying, executive chairman of Lam Soon Singapore, the company behind the popular Knife brand cooking oil.
