What's Up This Week
IMPOSSIBLE TREAT
Tastes like meat, bleeds like meat, but it ain't meat. It's Impossible, but that's why the plant-based protein that has been sweeping the world and its burger bars has a name like that. While you could only find Impossible Foods in restaurants before, the company has now linked up with a few F&B outlets and food distributors to sell the minced 'beef' to consumers for a limited time period. The temporary collaboration is to help restaurants reeling from Covid-19 measures to boost their revenue by doing some retail sales from their premises. They're only sold in rather large 2.27kg bricks and you can find them at Classic Fine Foods, Fatboy's, Park Bench Deli, Rubato and The Goodburger. Time for a burger weekend? ~ Jaime Ee
