Scammer passes off as Vickers Venture Partners, claims to offer new trading platform
A party impersonating Vickers Venture Partners has been going around advertising its new “Vickers Venture AI Trading platform” and taking it as far as to create websites, Telegram channels and a YouTube account to convince the public to open a trading account.
The venture capital firm said in a statement on Wednesday (Jul 6) that it was aware of the matter but that it has not created such a platform, nor provide investment services to the public.
“Vickers manages venture capital investments which are only made available to accredited investors through our 6 funds and co-investment vehicles,” said the company.
“Investors should be aware that if they open an account with this trading platform, they are not investing in any vehicles managed by Vickers.”
Vickers Venture Partners further clarified that it does not have active YouTube and Telegram channels, and its only domain is https://www.vickersventure.com/
A police report has also been filed on the incident.
