Jazz singer Jacintha Abishegenadan, better known to Singaporeans as just Ja or Jacintha, returns to the stage with songs from her latest album, Fire & Rain, which comprises covers of James Taylor hits. Ja will perform Somewhere Over The Rainbow, The Waters to March, Wave, Corcovado and Moon River, among others.
For the album, Ja recorded with James Taylor's frequent collaborators. But for this Esplanade concert, Ja has invited on stage stellar Singapore musicians such as music director Mei Sheum, with Dr Sydney Tan on bass, Tama Goh on drums, and Sebastian Ho on guitar.
The concert Jacintha Is Her Name runs at the Esplanade Recital Studio on May 4, 2019 at 8pm
