THE Singapore and South-east Asian art market is set for a significant boost with the entry of a new art fair organised by MCH Group, AngusMontgomery Arts and Tim Etchells. All three parties have equal shareholdings in the Singapore venture that will be named Art SG, and which will debut on Nov 1, 2019, at Marina Bay Sands.

The new fair is set to shake up the market as all three parties have vast networks of top galleries, curators and collectors from all over the world. MCH Group is the famous company behind the world's biggest art fair franchise Art Basel (which covers Basel, Hong Kong and Miami), as well as Baselworld for watches and jewellery. AngusMontgomery Arts and Tim Etchells organise popular art fairs in Asia such as Art Central (Hong Kong), Sydney Contemporary, Photo Shanghai and India Art Fair (New Delhi).
