Picturing Hitler
Framed, By Adolf is an original play and a continuation of acclaimed Singapore dramatist Chong Tze Chien's fascination with the controversial figure of Adolf Hitler - his 2016 play was titled Starring Hitler As Jekyll And Hyde. Chong writes and directs this intriguing new work about a woman who claims a painting owned by her Jewish grandfather was painted by Hitler himself, the man responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews. She tries to sell the painting to an auctioneer, a professor and a billionaire, who in turn race against time to validate her claims. The strong cast of veteran players includes Serene Chen, Joshua Lim, Tan Shou Chen, Tim Nga, Darius Tan and Zee Wong. The play is produced by The Finger Players.
Framed, By Adolf plays at the Victoria Theatre from 15 to 17 June. Tickets from Sistic.
