Sublime Jazz At Botanic Gardens
Duke Ellington was a towering figure in American jazz. In a career spanning 50 years, he wrote more than 1,000 compositions, with many of his works becoming jazz standards. The Duke Ellington Orchestra, which he founded, is now set to perform a repertoire of his best-known pieces at the Botanic Gardens. The 75-minute free concert is the closing show of the Singapore International Festival of Arts. Bring a picnic mat and a bottle.
The free concert takes place on May 12 at 6pm at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
