You've had tempura, so now get your fill of that other Japanese fried favourite - kushiage - at the recently opened Ginza Rokukakutei. It's the Singapore offshoot of the one Michelin-starred eatery in Tokyo, although technically, kushiage hails from Osaka. Everything from scallop to shrimp, wagyu and vegetables are coated in a customised breadcrumb coating and deep-fried like tempura, and served with their sticks pointing to the particular condiment that you're recommended to dip it into. The restaurant has just launched its lunch menus, and the S$50 set is quite a steal - you get eight sticks including a delicious creamy pea cutlet, cheese and wagyu kushiage, plus an appetiser and small bowl of uni rice at the end.

Ginza Rokukakutei is at #01-04 Odeon Towers. Tel: 6266-1077
