High On Highballs
The best drink to cool down with on a hot day is not an ice cold beer as you might think, but a highball. Find out more at American bourbon brand Jim Beam's alfresco pop-up bar at Clarke Quay, which is serving them from one-of-a-kind draught machines. These machines are supposed to dispense perfect highballs each time, made with pressurised soda in just the right proportions.
Enjoy the original version or sample other flavour combinations such as Kyoho grape and kiwifruit, strawberry and lychee, or mango and pomelo. There's also the chance to create your own highball at the DIY station. Of course, there has to be food to go with the highballs. Dig into fried skewers from Kushikatsu Tanaka, or hot wings from Hooters.
Jim Beam Highball Pop-up Bar is on till Oct 13, from 6pm, at Clarke Quay, fountain area.
