Le Petit Chef
Dinner theatre takes on a whole new meaning and experience when Le Petit Chef rolls into town and onto the tables at La Brasserie restaurant in the Fullerton Bay Hotel. Using visual mapping technology - hitherto used to project live action images on huge buildings - Le Petit Chef uses the dining table as its projection screen so you can watch the antics of a tiny animated chef who battles lobsters, and braves raging fire to cook your steak. Le Petit Chef was created by the Belgian artist collective Skullmapping, founded by filmmaker Filip Sterckx and visual artist Antoon Verbeeck. But this time, you get to eat what's cooked in the show, because the restaurant serves up a full four course dinner priced at S$188 per person. The menu includes Poached Maine Lobster with Baby Asparagus, Truffle Aioli & Avruga Caviar and 200 days Grain-Fed Angus Tenderloin with Sauce Périgourdine.
The dinner takes place in La Brasserie's private room which seats five to eight people, so you'll need to gather at least five friends to enjoy this new immersive dining experience.
The Le Petit Chef Experience runs from Jan 28 to Feb 24. Reservations are via email to labrasseriegre@fullertonhotels.com or call 6597 5288.
