Lunch At Waku Ghin
Finally, a way to dine at two Michelin-starred Waku Ghin without having to be a crazy rich Asian. But there is a catch. The brand new five-course executive set lunch is only available every Friday, so you'll need to plan your treat in advance. Starting from Sept 7, the S$180 menu is presented in the same format as the dinner service. The menu features four savoury dishes and one dessert. And there's even a version of its signature botan ebi, caviar and uni creation, except that for lunch the creamy Hokkaido uni, oscietra caviar and raw shrimp are lightly tossed with al dente pasta. Of course, you can still enjoy "cheaper" eats at the bar as usual, where you can savour more casual bites such as grilled Ohmi wagyu rice set or its addictive - and chef Tetsuya Wakuda's personal favourite - marinated fried chicken. In September, the bar's monthly special features Tengumai Gorin sake with a bowl of marinated toro tuna on rice for a special price of S$42.
