Rocking On
Following the 2017 death of Linkin Park's lead singer Chester Bennington, fellow band member Mike Shinoda has been working through his grief by creating music and visual art. Earlier this year, he released an EP titled Post-Traumatic, with three songs dealing with the death. The songs were also accompanied by homemade visuals that Shinoda created himself.
The New York Times describes the songs as "reverberant electronic dirges; the rhymes, heading into sung choruses, testify to bewilderment, mourning, resentment, self-pity and questions about what to do."
Now, Shinoda is embarking on his first tour as a solo artist, that he titles the Post-Traumatic Tour. He will be performing not just the recent songs dedicated to Bennington, but also other songs that he's created about other aspects of his life.
