Obama to lose either way in oil pipeline row
The Keystone oil pipeline pits environmentalists against energy companies and is becoming the first legislative battle this year between Mr Obama and Republican congressional leaders.

IT IS going to be the first 2015 tournament game in Washington between the newly elected Republican-controlled Congress and Democratic President Barack Obama. And most political insiders predict that when it is over, the umpire will announce that it is "Game, Set, Match" for the Republican team.
At issue is the Keystone oil pipeline that is designed to carry up to 830,000 barrels of petroleum per day from the oil sands of western Canada to oil refineries and ports on the Gulf Coast of the United States.
